In a unexpected partnership that defies traditional forecasts, the game developer has revealed an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, offering free extra story content for Shadows players.

According to the official announcement, "A mysterious encounter draws characters Naoe and Yasuke into a new mission, where hints of banned ceremonies and terrifying changes reverberate through the darkness." The narrative features a "unusually garbed woman named Ada" who assigns the pair with journeying into the Gemstone Grotto—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a hidden sect.
The mission focuses on "strange trials and a monstrous foe" and is open to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Familiar Places and Changes
The preview features the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser ends with a striking sequence showing a character, probably the captive, transforming into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Players who finish the adventure will acquire an exclusive katana alongside multiple objects secreted throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also features premium Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
